PRACTICAL IPO OPERATIONS GUIDE

How to manage IPO applications across multiple demat accounts

A precise workflow for keeping users, demat accounts, funding, allotments and listing results connected from the first application to final reconciliation.

The rule that prevents most tracking mistakes

Never store an IPO result only against a person's name. Store it against the exact combination of IPO + user + demat account. The person may control several accounts, and each account can have a different application bank, outcome, charge or sharing rule.

01

Create the user hierarchy

Create one profile for each person, then add each demat account underneath with a clear label, PAN, DP ID and agreed profit-share percentage.

02

Select the IPO and accounts

Choose the IPO, mark the exact demat accounts being used and record the bank account funding each application when bank records are available.

03

Confirm applications

Review the total number of applications and aggregate amount before saving. A saved state should survive refreshes and remain visible to the linked user.

04

Record allotment outcomes

Mark each applied account as allotted or not allotted. The two states must be mutually exclusive but reversible when an entry was made by mistake.

05

Track refund and listing dates

Use exchange-published dates where available and a controlled admin correction when official data is missing. Keep the date source visible.

06

Enter sold results

For each allotted demat, record the gross listing result and charges. Keep separate result cards when a user controls more than one demat account.

07

Reconcile the profit split

Apply the configured user percentage only to positive profit, according to your documented agreement. Record the remaining admin amount and preserve the calculation trail.

08

Close and retain the history

Move completed IPOs into past records without deleting the underlying application, funding, allotment and result links.

RECONCILIATION CHECKLIST

Before considering an IPO complete

  • Every applied account has an allotment outcome.
  • All allotted accounts have a sold result or an explicit pending state.
  • Gross profit, charges, user share and admin amount reconcile.
  • Each entry displays the demat label and source user.
  • Funding reservations have been released or explained.
  • The user dashboard and admin history show the same source records.
USE THE WORKFLOW

Replace manual cross-checking with linked records.

IPOxCards turns this workflow into one private, mobile-friendly operating system.
